Library Mission Statement
Our library has two functions, to support the curriculum and to encourage reading for pleasure. To that end, I consult teachers about their needs for the classroom and read everything I can get my hands on. I make extensive use of public library resources and the experience of other librarians. It has been my delight for more than 26 years to build the varied and eclectic collection we have to offer our school community. Our library needs to be alive and growing, reflecting the changing world while preserving what has always been good, especially including the treasures of our Catholic faith.
In this section of the website, you will find newsletters that I send out in the Wednesday envelope from time to time, either describing basic library functions or offering more general news, and also a section called Reading List which in fact represents the titles of Accelerated Reader quizzes available at school at this time. Students may use books from school or home or public library to prepare to take these quizzes as long as the content is the same (usually the unabridged version).
