Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to the sixth grade! Due to the structure here at Saint Mary School, your child is officially in junior high. This is an important and exciting beginning. In sixth grade, students truly begin to develop into the individuals they will one day become.
There will be much learning occurring throughout the year, not simply from school textbooks, Activboards, or from assignments, but from experiences with people, your sixth graders being the most important of those people. This is a time for wonderful and meaningful life-long learning experiences.
My goal and hope is that each sixth grader grows in love, wisdom, and accountability. As these increase, students will feel great about who they are, which will reflect in how they carry themselves and treat those around them, building a more Christ-like environment. Please let me know how your child could use extra encouragement and support.
Please know that I am always available to listen with a ready ear to anything you need to discuss regarding your child’s success this school year. My ministry is to your child this year.
Thank you for all that you do as parents, and thank you for encouraging your child to live a life in God’s image. In addition, many thanks for your ideas, help, and presence, which I already know will make for a wonderful school year.
God bless,
Mrs. Harris
